Mommy and Me Monday – Gray Sweaters & Distressed Black Jeans

Fashion/ Little Me and Free/ Mommy and Me Monday

Happy Monday! It has been a whirlwind of a week for us. We evacuated Houston last Thursday to come back up to Dallas, to avoid Hurricane Harvey. We had no idea how chaotic things would be in Houston, so we are so glad we left when we did. In the middle of all the craziness going on, we were supposed to close on our new house in Houston this Wednesday. Now that Houston was declared a natural disaster zone, we have no idea when we will be able to close. We also haven’t been able to see our new house since the storm hit, however we were told by our sweet new neighbors that are house has been safe from flooding thus far. I am hoping that the worst part of the storm has passed and we are in the clear, but we can’t be certain of that yet. A special thanks to everyone who has contacted me to check on our family, I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We are very fortunate. On a lighter note, since it is Monday, I wanted to bring you the latest Mommy and Me Monday post featuring these gray sweaters and distressed black jeans. Read more

Mommy and Me Monday – Valentine’s Day Edition

Fashion/ Little Me and Free/ Mommy and Me Monday

It’s Mommy and Me Monday and this “Ladies in Red” look is one of my favorites so far. Since Valentine’s Day it tomorrow I decided to find something for us to wear for the special day. Now that McKenna is getting older and is well behaved when we dine out, I have decided to take her to the movies for Valentine’s Day. Since she has never been to the movie theater I figured this would be a good time to start. Plus a lot of the movie theaters around here have a look & dine option. Look & dine basically means that you get to watch the movie while you have a waiter from the adjoining movie theater’s restaurants serve you food. Since she loves to eat I think one way or another, this will be an entertaining experience for her. The one thing I haven’t figured out is which movie we are going to see. If you have any suggestions that would be good for a two year old to see, please comment below. Read more
