Growing up, I was always a fan of My Little Pony and collected several of them as toys during my childhood. I now have three daughters of my own. My oldest, McKenna, also loves My Little Pony as much as I did. When she found out My Little Pony: A New Generation was coming to Netflix on September 24th, she was thrilled! In honor of the movie, Hasbro recently released the My Little Pony: Sparkle Squad collection which includes 6″ pony figures from the movie. So, when McKenna discovered she would be receiving the My Little Pony: Sparkle Squad ponies, she was bouncing off the walls with excitement!
From the My Little Pony: Sparkle Squad collection, McKenna received Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow, Princess Petals, and Zipp Storm. All of the My Little Pony 6” ponies are available exclusively at Walmart. Sunny Starscout is the only pony that is not exclusively at Walmart. The new characters each have unique personality traits that everyone can relate to. With active play your little ones can express themselves and create their own stories. McKenna loved being able to connect with each character. She also enjoyed discovering the included accessories for each pony and learning what makes them sparkle. So, let’s meet the ponies.
Sunny Starscout is an orange pony figure with a character-inspired shooting star Cutie Mark on one side. She has soft, long pink hair for lots of hair play fun and comes with 17 hair and story accessories. Included is a braiding tool to style her hair into a braid, revealing a colorful rainbow pattern as you go. You can also customize her look with clips, headbands, and bracelets. You can even place her movie-inspired journal inside her iconic saddlebag and decorate everything with stickers!
Izzy Moonbow is a purple pony figure with a character-inspired heart-shaped button Cutie Mark on one side. She has long, soft blue hair which is curled in her signature style for lots of hair play fun! She also has a comb and a headband accessory. It can be decorated with the 17 fabric flower pieces and gem-shaped plug-in pieces just plug the gems into the flowers, then customize the headband for Izzy Moonbow! Her headband can also be worn as a customizable friendship bracelet for kids which McKenna thought was amazing!
Princess Petals is a pony figure with a character-inspired music note Cutie Mark on one side. She has a long, soft purple mane for hair play fun! She comes with 17 hair and fashion accessories so she can imagine she’s trying on different costumes before her big show! She also comes with 4 sticker sheets which can be used to give her customizable makeup looks, just add the stickers on her face, wings, and body to mix and match Princess Petals’ pop star styles.
Zipp Storm is a pony figure with a character-inspired lightning bolt Cutie Mark on one side. She has a soft pink and blue mane for hair play fun! Zipp Storm has glittery wings and 17 hair and fashion accessories to imagine she’s staying active in style. The 4 included sticker sheets can be used to give her accessories custom decals. Your little ones can add the stickers on her jacket, sunglasses, and headphones to help her get ready for big adventures.
McKenna had a ball playing with each of her new ponies. She said she loved them all but Sunny Starscout was her favorite because she loved her rainbow hair and being able to change her hairstyle with her hair accessories.
