I just got back Sunday from my friend’s destination wedding in Playa del Carmen. It was an amazing experience, but I was glad to be back home to my Little Me. The newly weds definitely set the bar high for their destination wedding experience. I am happy to say that I was able to fit all of my stuff for the weekend in my Louis Vuitton bag so I did not have to pay the carry on fee while flying Spirit Airlines. I was actually stopped by a few people so they could tell me how impressed they were by me packing so light for the weekend.

I met so many fun people at the wedding from all over the United States. It was nice to see that so many people were there to support the happy couple. It definitely shows that they have a lot of close friends and family that did not want to miss their big day. We stayed at the Mahekal Playa Beach Resort which is walking distance to downtown Playa. This was my second time to Playa and it did not disappoint. One of the funnier things from the wedding weekend was the donkey at the rehearsal dinner that was there for photo ops, of course I couldn’t pass up this opportunity.

The wedding was at the Coral Beach Club away from the resort. The dance floor lit up with a pool next to it. At the end of the night the entire wedding party ended up jumping in the pool! After this weekend I am definitely looking forward to my next friend’s destination wedding however I will probably not be taking Spirit Airlines to get there again.
