Mommy and Me Monday – Halloween Edition

Well first of all let me start by saying Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has a safe evening and enjoys Trick or Treating with your little ones (if you have them). I can’t believe tomorrow will be the first of November, so for those people like me who love Christmas, you can finally start getting the holiday decorations out of the attic.

McKenna and I had our first photo shoot together to start gathering a portfolio of pictures for my blog. It was semi-stressful since I was not quite sure how she would act, but thankfully there were no tears. Now getting her to stay still for the photographer was a different story. She really enjoyed running over to the photographer to give her a big hug. Lol. The shoot was a lot of fun, minus chasing McKenna around the AT&T Performing Arts center in Downtown Dallas in very warm weather while wearing winter clothing. This weather reminded me of summer temperatures like those in the middle of June. If you haven’t been to Downtown Dallas lately, you should check it out. There is a lot of new construction, but there are still a lot of green space areas to hang out in.

I enjoy dressing up with McKenna and Halloween is no exception! McKenna and I are dressing as bats this evening, but for this shoot we decided to wear some of our fall/Halloween themed apparel.

We both wore our Stan Smith Adidas and ripped leggings. My vampire shirt was less than $14 from H&M; it is a great alternative Halloween outfit for those people who don’t want to wear a full costume or for those vampire lovers out there. My mom purchased McKenna’s shirt from her friend’s Etsy shop. It has a pumpkin silhouette with her initials inside, which she can wear throughout the fall.

What kind of costume are you wearing for Halloween? There are plenty of unique ideas out and plenty of crafty people out there. I enjoy seeing various costumes during this season. If you are one of those crafty costume designers, I would like to hear about your costume!
