Pregnancy is an awesome thing! It is awesome that I have had the opportunity to experience it twice. There is a high level of anticipation while eagerly waiting for the birth of your little one, and also a lot of unknowns, i.e. Will it hurt? Who will the baby look like? Will it be hard? In addition to these thoughts, one of the questions that went through my mind during each pregnancy is “What is my body going to look like after I have this baby?” Well, let me start off by saying it IS NOT going to look the same. Factoring in that it takes approximately nine months for a baby to develop, it’s going to take some time for your tummy to go back to some resemblance of what it used to be. Honestly, after my first child, I didn’t know if my tummy would ever go back down! But that was, in part, due to the fact that I gained a whopping 50 pounds. I swore I would never gain that much weight during another a pregnancy, so with my last baby, my weight gain was 26 pounds. Although my weight gain was less, my tummy was stretched and out of shape. I know some women wear their stretch marks and c-sections scars like a badge of honor, but that is not the type of person I am. I want to look and feel healthy, and have a flat tummy! Who’s with me?
Since my tummy was “loose” to put it nicely, I wanted to find leggings that could tuck it all in. So when I found the Belly Bandit Mother Tucker leggings, I was sold. These leggings target the compression zones to smooth out your tummy, booty, and thighs. Belly Bandit’s Muffinology® technology helps control muffin top and the high waist provides full coverage. Check out the before and after photo below.

I pretty much lived in the Mother Tucker leggings for the first few months post-pregnancy. So I wanted to share three different ways to style them. These leggings pair well with lots of tops, but I chose the following looks to feature: Athleisure, Casual, and A Night Out on the Town.
Athleisure
Not much thought goes into this look, and, let’s face it, with a newborn, you won’t have a lot of time to plan out outfits, so this is the ensemble you’ll see me in most. Pair these leggings with your favorite athletic top and you’re ready to hit the gym or spend the day running errands and getting stuff done!
Casual
For a more trendy yet casual look, I paired the Mother Tucker leggings with a graphic tee, a leather jacket, and some suede studded boots. I even added a pair of tassel earrings to spruce up this outfit.
Night Out On the Town
Although having nights out on the town are far and few between for most new moms, if it does happen, you can transition your casual look by adding a vibrant top like the sequin one I’m wearing, and some stilettos. On a side note, since I hadn’t worn stilettos in 9+ months my feet were killing me after this photo shoot, and I almost fell down a few times from having weak ankles. 🙂
My favorite post-pregnancy outfits always include these leggings. After giving birth was there a piece of clothing that you tended to frequently wear? If so what was it?
