In this Necessities for Your New Baby post I am going to be talking about bibs. Bibs are essential if you want to keep your baby’s clothes stain free. There are many types of baby bibs out there. Here are few of my favorites through the different stages of an infant’s life.
- Tommee Tippee Bibs – These bibs are amazing, and one of my favorite gifts to give at baby showers. I discovered these when I was looking for a baby bib that prevented milk from running down McKenna’s neck. For all you experienced moms out there, you know how smelly your baby’s neck can get if milk gets in their tiny creases. These bibs do just that. They have padding around the neck and are really good newborns. The whole bib is made out of soft terry cloth material so it is easy on your newborn’s skin.
- Aden + Anais Burby Bib – Like several Aden + Anais products, this bib serves multiple purposes. It can be used as a bib or as a burp cloth. These are soft and made out of the muslin material that is commonly used on their products. They are also very absorbent and come in multiple patterns.
- OXO Tot Roll UP Bib – I am huge fan of the OXO Tot products; their bibs are no exception. These bibs come in three different colors. They roll up so they don’t take up a lot of space in your diaper bag, which makes them convenient for travel. These work great when your baby is starting on solids and picking up food to feed themselves. The bib has a wide pocket that can catch falling food, preventing it from getting on your baby or in the cracks of their highchair. It is made out of a soft material on the top and firm rubber on the bottom, so it won’t hurt your baby’s neck.
- It is also nice to have a few fancier bibs that your baby can wear when they are dressed up for an event, such as going to church. At my baby shower, McKenna received a few nice ones that I would rotate for special occasions. One of my favorite ones was a simple white bib with her name monogrammed on the front in light pink.
