This weekend I am going to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for one of my friend’s weddings. I absolutely love beach weddings. This is my first wedding to attend outside the country and I am really looking forward to it. I am however sad to be leaving my Little Me at home, but she will be spoiled by her grandparents while I am away. : )
I did something I said I would never do, I purchased a flight on Spirit Airlines. The flight was very cheap so it was hard for me to pass up the deal, and even if I do have to pay for bags it was still much less than the other airlines. One thing to know about Spirit Airlines, they nickel and dime you for everything from drinks that would be complimentary on other airlines to having to pay for a carry on. I have decided to try to pack as light as possible to see if I can pack everything I need in the Louis Vuitton bag that also is used as McKenna’s diaper bag, by doing this I can avoid paying the $30 carry on fee. Since I will only be gone 48 hours this was challenge I was willing to accept, especially because I can save $60 roundtrip by doing so. Luckily packing for the a trip to the beach doesn’t require you to bring bulky clothing.

I plan to pack tonight even though I don’t leave until Friday. I do this because I hate accidentally overpacking, and this gives me a chance to run to the store if there is anything I need last minute. Wish me luck!
