Preparing Our Guest Bedroom For Holiday Visitors

Both my husband and I were born and raised in Louisiana, but we now reside in Houston, TX. When it comes time for any major holiday we end up always having to travel to Louisiana to celebrate the occasion. This year the Thanksgiving holidays will be a little different for us since we are adding another member to our family. Our second child, Rylan, is due November 17. With that being said, our families will be traveling to Houston to stay with us and celebrate Thanksgiving. To make sure they feel comfortable during their stay with us, I have already started to prepare our guest bedroom by adding new bedding from Kohl’s.

Preventing The Scary Side of Parenting With Pampers

Halloween is nearly here which is always a fun time of year since I enjoy dressing up with McKenna. In addition to Halloween, our second child, Rylan, is also due to arrive any day now which has me thinking about the scary side of parenting. It has been almost 4 years since I had McKenna. Having an infant again has me a little nervous since it has been so long! I am hoping I remember everything that I need to do. I just feel like I am not nearly as prepared as I was with my first child. I know my motherly instincts will kick in once she arrives, but I am definitely suffering from a case of pregnancy brain right now! The one thing that I will be prepared for this time around is having enough Pampers diapers and wipes. Read more

My Unconventional Babymoon to Sandestin, FL

If you follow me on Instagram, then you would know that I was at the beach last week to celebrate my close friend, Brittany Dugas’ birthday. She was nice enough to open up her condo in Sandestin, FL to me and a few other girls for the occasion. Since I didn’t take a babymoon with my husband, this trip turned into my unconventional babymoon.

At 33 weeks pregnant, I was no longer able to travel by plane per my doctor’s orders. I ended up driving to Baton Rouge, LA to drop of McKenna with my parents before I made my way to Mandeville, LA to meet Brittany and another one of my friends for the drive to Sandestin. Since the drive from Houston to Sandestin is a total of 8-9 hours, so I was thankful that Brittany was able to drive part of the way. Read more
