So I love heels, but I love wearing flats even more. I guess that’s what happens when you become a mom, or just get older for that matter. Two main reasons I like wearing flats are so my feet don’t hurt and that I am less prone to having baby deer legs which may cause me to lose my balance while holding my child (who is quite heavy for a 22 month old).
Luckily wearing tennis shoes with dresses is in style right now so wearing this gingham flannel dress and these Adidas Superstars are a win-win combo for me.
This dress is great because it has a fall look without the fall warmth that most flannel attire brings. Since the temperatures are still in the mid 70’s in Dallas in November, I can wear this dress without needing a jacket. Oh and did I mention it has pockets? Pockets on anything come in great when you’re a mom, between sticking pacifiers to snacks in them. I never know what I am going to find when it comes time to do laundry. 🙂
Like I mentioned before, I am a huge fan of my tennis shoes. I wish I owned a pair in every color. I actually bought the kid’s version because they were less expensive than the adult size. Since they aren’t a classic color, I was able to get them on sale! Try only $39.99. Boom! They also have the toddler version of these, which McKenna owns. When I buy tennis shoes for myself I always check to see if they make them in a kid’s size. This can save you on average $20 off the women’s price (just an FYI).
To finish out my look I wore my red Chanel Wallet on a Chain that ties in with my sneakers and a pair of gold arrowhead earrings. I purchased the earrings from a local boutique in Dallas; they are handmade and I love them for a more casual look. It’s a bonus that the earrings are not very heavy.
What I’m Wearing:
Gingham Flannel Dress s/o (similar)
Adidas Originals Sneakers
Gold Arrowhead Earrings (similar)
Red Chanel Wallet on a Chain (cheaper version)
Louis Vuitton Aviator Sunglasses
