If you have been following my blog, then you know that we recently moved to Houston, TX from Dallas, TX. So, there were lots of road trips back and forth between those two cities. Road trips with toddlers can be really smooth if they decide to sleep most of the time or the complete opposite if they are not entertained. Lucky for me McKenna likes to sleep in the car so she slept most of the time for the 3 1/2-hour trip. If moving wasn’t a big enough life change, we found out that my boyfriend received a temporary assignment in Findlay, OH for two months. I have decided to make the move with him and we leave Ohio this Friday. Instead of flying, we are going to take a road trip to get there. The total trip is about 18 hours so I know McKenna will not be sleeping the whole way. This has inspired me to create a Toddler Road Trip Survival kit using Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes. Read more

Happy Thursday everyone. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I went to Canada last month for my friend Amanda Miller aka The Miller Affect’s wedding. The wedding was in Canmore, Alberta to be exact. Canmore is a beautiful, quaint town in the mountains about 1 hour away from Calgary. It was my first time traveling to this are of Canada and I was amazed with how picturesque everything was. Canada is absolutely stunning! If you ever have a chance to visit the area, I highly recommend you do so. Read more

My UNICO 20°87° Hotel Experience

Travel

Soooo I just got back from an awesome five night stay at the UNICO 20°87° Hotel in Riviera Maya. Rather than doing presents this past Christmas, my boyfriend and I decided to plan a beach trip instead. After doing some research we decided to try out the UNICO 20°87° Hotel which is an all-inclusive hotel a little over an hour south of Cancun. There are not many reviews of the hotel right now because it just opened on March 1, 2017; because of this, I was asked by a few people who have planned a trip to this hotel to give a review on the positives or negatives of the place. How I Earned Southwest Airlines Companion Pass

Travel

As many of you know, I love to travel, and most of the time I bring McKenna along with me. Ninety-nine percent of the time I travel by air, because let’s face it, traveling with a child in a car for more than an hour can become a nightmare, unless they end up sleeping the entire time. With all that being said, I have mastered the art of traveling with McKenna, and a lot of it has to do with how often we travel. McKenna took her first flight at three months old and currently she has flown over 50 times. Traveling by airplane was more convenient for us because we live five minutes from the airport, but it was also easy on our budget because McKenna was able to fly for free as a lap child. Now that she has just turned two, I have to pay for an individual seat for her and paying for two flights versus one is not good for my bank account. Knowing ahead of time how much we had traveled and planned to travel, I knew I had to figure out a way to still be able to fly without doubling the costs to do so. Lucky for me, I found a solution, called Southwest Airlines Companion Pass. Read more
