I took a break last week from writing my Wedding Wednesday post because I was on my honeymoon in Jamaica. Now that I am back, I plan to continue these posts every week. For today’s feature, I want to talk about the wedding gifts I got for Randy on our special day.
Finding gifts for the groom from the bride is always a hard one. Well at least it was for me. We both agreed not to spend a lot of money on each other, but still wanted our gifts to each other to be something we could get use out of. I know sometimes brides will get their grooms Rolex watches, but that is not the kind of budget we were on. After thinking a lot about it, I ended getting three things.
- Custom Cufflinks – I am lucky enough to have all of my grandparents still living, so they were able to attend our wedding. Unfortunately it is not the same situation for Randy. Since his grandparents were a big part of his life I wanted a way to commemorate that relationship for him our wedding day. I found a shop on Etsy who can take old photos and turn them into cufflinks. I explained to him in the card that this was a way for him to have them by his side even though they couldn’t be there that day. He said out of all of his gifts, this was his favorite.
- iPad – Randy has had the same iPad for 10 years. Part of the screen doesn’t work and it always crashes yet he refused to buy a new one. I purchased one for him, since he wouldn’t. Even thought this wasn’t the most thoughtful gift, he brought it on our honeymoon and has been using it everyday since I gave it to him. 😉
- Le Subtile Skincare Box – Brides typically go to the spa with their bridesmaids to prepare for the “Big Day”, so I wanted to give Randy something to Randy so he could feel pampered as well. Since he would never buy luxury skincare for himself I decided to do it for him. The box contains Non Surgical Lifting Syringe Instant Eye Lift, After Shave Moisturizer, Facial Cleanser, Vitamin C Serum, and a Premium Handmade Soap. So far he has been happy with all of the products.
Now that we have exchanged gifts, I am glad how happy Randy was with all of them. If you’re married, what gifts for the groom did you buy? I would love to hear about them!
