A Disney #NowMoreThanEver Playdate Party

A few weekends ago I hosted a Disney #NowMoreThanEver Playdate Party at my home in Houston. I invited three of my close friends from college who also live in Houston and their children. Between the four of us, we have a total of nine kids ranging from ages eight months to five years old.

Now more than ever is a great time to take your family to Walt Disney World Resort. Since we are a Disney obsessed family, we actually visited Disneyland for the first time last weekend and at the end of August, we will be going to Walt Disney World. This will be McKenna’s fifth time to go and Rylan’s first time. We are going for a full week, and my parents will be joining us on our trip. We booked the vacation earlier this while Walt Disney World was offering the free Disney dining plan. I am very excited that we will be enjoying lots of character dining while we are there! Oh, man, do I love the food at Disney, especially those Dole Whips! YUM!

While we are there a lot of exciting things will be happening including the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the start of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Some experiences that were recently added at the parks include Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebrate at Magic Kingdom, Party with Pixar Pals and More at Disney Hollywood Studios for their 30th anniversary, and Feel the Love during ‘Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party’ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. One thing I am doing while I am there with my husband, Randy, is the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Have you ever been on this tour? My husband did it several years ago and told me it was his favorite experience at Walt Disney World. While we are there we also plan to go to one of the water parks, and my dad and husband are going to plan some golf too!

Now back to the party details… To prepare for the party Disney sent me a box filled full of Disney goodies to use during the party. In my hostess kit, there were Alena of Avalor themed party decorations including plates, games, and even a pinata! I also received a Popped Passion Popcorn Cake, a coupon to purchase Michael Angelo’s family meal, an Ariel doll and Ariel dress-up costume by JAKKS Pacific, a Mickey Mouse Pillow Pet, and a Disney Parks Official pair of silver Minnie Mouse ears. McKenna wore the Ariel dress during the party and I wore the ears.

For activities, during the party, I created a Decorate Your Own Mickey Station. I made Mickey Mouse shaped rice crispy treats for them to decorate. They made a mess and really enjoyed being creative with all of the fun toppings! They also played Pin the Crown on Elena which was included in the party kit.

After three hours of playing all the kids and parents were exhausted! The Disney playdate party was a huge success and we can’t wait to do it again soon. I am also thankful for plastic table cloths that made party cleanup a breeze.

I received free products in order to host a #NowMoreThanEver playdate party. The opinions expressed here are my own.
