Back to School Looks For The Whole Family

This post is sponsored by vineyard vines and ShopStyle. All opinions are mine alone.

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It’s back to school time which means time to purchase all those back to school outfits for the kids, or even the whole family! For today’s post, I am excited to be partnering with vineyard vines for the first time! Today’s post is very special because my whole family was able to participate, even my husband who rarely lets his picture be taken!  I first became a fan of vineyard vines when I was college at LSU, which was 10 years ago. Since I was in a sorority and vineyard vines was known for carrying preppy attire, it was my go-to store for my back to school looks. Now that McKenna is in school, I am dressing her in vineyard vines as well! In addition to women’s and children’s clothing, they also carry a wide variety of clothing and accessories for men. Vineyard vines is all about finding those “every day should feel this good” moments and celebrating them with family and friends.

My husband, Randy, works as an attorney at an oil refinery. He wanted a look that he could transition from work to evening. The most important factor to him when choosing a shirt is that it has a good fit and is wrinkle-free, so it was a no-brainer for him to select the Boldwater Plaid Slim Tucker Shirt. In addition to being wrinkle-free, this shirt also has UPF 30+ protection, so you can have added protection from the sun when you wear it outside. He paired his shirt with Stretch Slim-Fit Pants in the color nocturne and a Fish Hook Leather Belt. The pants come in a variety of colors and have a nice, tailored fit.

Since I am almost 8 months pregnant, I wanted an outfit that had a looser fit for my belly, yet still looked chic. With so many new arrivals it was hard to choose! The Autumn Eyelet Ruffle Greenwich Flutter Sleeve Dress was the perfect choice for me. This all over black and white eyelet dress is very flattering and perfect for fall! If you are a fan of the pattern, it also comes in a shirt. I paired the dress with a Ribbed Open Cardigan, which will come in handy once it gets a little cooler outside. This cardigan comes in two color options, navy or white. To complete my look, I added the Vineyard Whale Classic Tote. This sturdy tote is made out of canvas with a zip top closure. It has lots of room and can fit all the essentials I need as a mom on the go.

McKenna loves to wear dresses, and I even let her pick out the one she wanted. She chose the Girls Morgan Way Plaid Flannel Shirt Dress. Since her favorite color is pink, I picked out the Girls Down Mountain Weekend Vest to wear over her dress. The flannel dress fits true to size, and it looks so adorable paired with the pink vest and some booties. Since McKenna needed a backpack, we selected the Girls Colorblock Backpack. This backpack has lots of pockets and will come in very handy for many school years to come.

In addition to children’s clothing, vineyard vines also carries clothing for infants. Since we are having another girl in November, we picked out the Baby Morgan Way Plaid Flannel Jon Jon and Marlin Stripe Bib. We are so excited about adding another girl to the family and we can’t wait to dress up her in this outfit. Since the Jon Jon is made out of the same material as McKenna’s dress, I will definitely be dressing them up in these outfits together. Stay tuned for the pictures! 🙂

Special thanks to my husband for being such a good sport for these pictures! This shoot was so much fun, plus I got all my back to school shopping done. Have you done your back to school shopping yet? If so, do you buy only for the kids or the whole family?
