Guess what time it is? It’s Carnival Time aka one of my favorite parts of the year. For those who don’t me, I was born an raised in Baton Rouge, LA which is an hour away from New Orleans. I also lived in the Warehouse District of New Orleans and cheered for the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans holds a special place in my heart and to top it off my boyfriend is from New Orleans. If you have read some of my past posts you can see that I go back to New Orleans a lot! One time of the year that I don’t miss is Mardi Gras, which is quickly approaching. As I mentioned in my previous post, I would be doing following up about The Baby Gear Show. Last weekend McKenna and I attended The Baby Gear Show, which is an event series, which was founded by Bump Club & Beyond. I had a great time, McKenna, was not so entertained (see pics below). Don’t worry, once she got a balloon her pouty face turned into a big smile. The event took place at Nordstrom Galleria Dallas and Jamie Grayson, TheBabyGuyNYC, hosted it. The show was before regular store hours in the baby section of Nordstrom. We were served a light breakfast, then we took our seats around what looked like the exact set up of a fashion show runway, but instead of models in clothing, Jamie presented baby gear like he was Vanna White. Once the show started Jamie walked us through several products from diaper bags to strollers and pretty much everything in between. Since he covered so much I have decided to pick a few of my favorite things, some of which are very new to the market. Read more
