Achieving My Hair Goals with Hair Food + Recipe!

Beauty

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hair Food. The opinions and text are all mine.

Let’s face it, not all of us were blessed with awesome hair. Most of us have to work for it. Over the past year, I have been doing just that. Although I was able to get my hair to grow, it is not growing fast enough, so if you have been following me on Instagram you know that I recently got extensions. Extensions require extra special care. That being said, I am extra careful with what products I use on/in my hair, especially my shampoo and conditioner. So, I made the switch to Hair Food Avocado & Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.

Hair Food Avocado & Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner is part of their Smooth Collection which is also color safe. You can find this set at Sam’s Club. Hair Food has a total of eight collections. In addition to Smooth, the collections include Moisture, Color Protect, Hair Milk, Nourishing, Purifying, Repair, and Volume. All of the collections are sulfate free, dye free, mineral free, and paraben free.

Hair Food is inspired by clean, simple, kitchen-crafted recipes full of ingredients you that want to use in your hair, and doesn’t include things you don’t, I don’t have to worry about my hair being compromised.

As you can see from using the Avocado & Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair looks healthy and smooth after being moisturized by the avocado and the argan oil. This duo really does feed my hair; hair goals achieved!

Since I am a huge fan of these products, I wanted to share a recipe inspired by the pair, a Tomato, Basil, and Avocado Salad. My grandmother has been making this quick and simple salad for me since I was a young girl, and it is still one of my favorites to date.

Tomato, Basil, and Avocado Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 tomatoes (cubed)
  • 1 (8 ounce) ball fresh mozzarella cheese (drained & cubed)
  • 2 avocados (peeled, pitted, & cubed)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp. fresh basil (chopped)
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Put the cubes of avocados, tomatoes, and mozzarella in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Add basil, salt & pepper.
  4. Mix lightly.
  5. Enjoy.
