The Big Free-O Trip to Las Vegas – The High Roller

Travel

Well I have officially turned 30! In honor of my 30th Birthday my closest friends and I went to none other than Las Vegas to celebrate the occasion. For some of them, it was their first visit to Sin City. We dubbed the trip “The Big Free-O”, and the experience was fabulous!

Off to Vegas - but first, coffee!

Another girlfriend and I flew in early Friday morning. It was her first time so I wanted to have plenty of time to show her the strip. We checked in to our hotel at the MGM Grand, and then proceeded to walk the strip before it was too hot outside. At this point it was 8:30 am so the strip was basically empty with a few stragglers doing the walk of shame from the night before. We decided to stop and get breakfast outside right across from the Bellagio so we could watch the fountain as we ate. They were serving bottomless mimosas, so we went with that option and hung out for awhile. We then went to a few of the casinos, and met up with a few friends that were joining us at Caesar’s Palace. After catching up with them we walked to the High Roller, which is the world’s tallest ferris wheel which is close to the LINQ Hotel. I purchased Happy Half Hour tickets ahead of time. These tickets included an open bar in the car and you can drink as much as you want for the half hour that it takes you to go around the ferris wheel. I am really happy we did this because we got to see some awesome views of the city. To purchase discounted tickets for the High Roller ahead of time you can go here. This is also a kid friendly activity if you happen to bring your kids to Vegas.
