With school out for the summer, I am always looking for ways to keep McKenna entertained and her screen time limited. Since I work from home, we get to spend the whole day together. Keeping a four-year-old entertained all day is NOT easy. As nice as it would be to let her watch TV or her iPad all day, I want to do what is best for her. So I give her activities to do throughout the day. Luckily she has always been a child who plays well independently. She loves being creative and trying out new toys, so when she found out LeapFrog was sending her the LeapBuilders Fruit Fun Elephant she was ecstatic!

If you have kids, you are probably have owned a LeapFrog toy. We have had them in our home since McKenna was a baby. LeapFrog is the leader in innovative learning toys for children that encourage a child’s curiosity and love of learning throughout their early developmental journey. Their toys are designed to create personalized experiences that encourage, excite and build confidence in children. This turns playtime into quality time that helps children leap ahead!

Now let’s talk about the LeapBuilders Fruit Fun Elephant… When McKenna opened up the box of goodies she couldn’t get to the Fruit Fun Elephant fast enough. Before we even had it out of the box she was already pressing buttons to see what it could do! Once we removed it from its packaging we took out the assembly cards that come with it, and McKenna got to work on putting together the Big Elephant. In addition to a Big Elephant, you can also create a Flamingo, a Store, or a Baby Elephant with the included blocks.

The set is made for children ages 2+ and comes with an interactive 21-piece animal-themed block toy set. There are 10 double-sided learning blocks that feature numbers and fruits. When you place the learning block inside the interactive Smart Star, it will respond with educational songs and encouraging phrases about numbers and colors that enhance building play with learning content. It also includes a music button that plays five melodies and four learning songs and a question button on the Smart Star to hear learning phrases about numbers. Plus if you have blocks from other LeapBuilders sets, they can be used in the Smart Star to generate additional responses. McKenna loved trying out of all of the different learning blocks in the Smart Star and learning a little more about each one. There is a song that starts out “1,2,3 Elephants are counting” that she kept singing over and over again. It was really catchy and she said it was her new favorite song! lol Altogether she really enjoys playing with the LeapBuilders Elephant, and it keeps her entertained for hours at a time which is great for me. Not to mention it inspires her creativity, encourages problem-solving, and helps develop fine motor skills, making it a great toy for her!
