If you have followed my blog for a while then you know that every year we take a trip with my parents to Destin, FL to celebrate the 4th. Tomorrow I will be driving six hours from Orlando to Destin to meet my parents there. Disney World has been fabulous, I mean it is the happiest place on earth, but Destin is also a fabulous destination to visit. If you have never visited Destin, FL then you should definitely put it on your list. The white sandy beaches and aqua water look like something out of a post card, plus there are lots of good restaurants in the area you can visit while you are there. One of my favorite places to go to while I am there is AJ’s. They always have a really good band, and a lot of people on the dance floor.
In honor of the 4th of July it only seemed fitting that this week’s Mommy and Me Monday post was a 4th of July theme. I love America and I am so appreciative of the sacrifices that were made by others, so that McKenna and I could live in such a great country. In addition to loving the USA, I also love wearing red, white, and blue. This year was no exception.
McKenna’s linen shirt has little fireworks all over it, and I paired it with her white jean shorts and white converse. I paired my white top with white jeans shorts and white converse as well. My red, white, and blue neck scarf when unfolded is the American Flag. In addition to wearing it around your neck you can tie it to your purse, or put it in your hair.
