Achieving My Hair Goals with Hair Food + Recipe!

Beauty

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hair Food. The opinions and text are all mine.

Let’s face it, not all of us were blessed with awesome hair. Most of us have to work for it. Over the past year, I have been doing just that. Although I was able to get my hair to grow, it is not growing fast enough, so if you have been following me on Instagram you know that I recently got extensions. Extensions require extra special care. That being said, I am extra careful with what products I use on/in my hair, especially my shampoo and conditioner. So, I made the switch to Hair Food Avocado & Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. Read more

My Haven Riviera Cancun Review #HavenIsHere

Fashion/ Travel

Over the Easter break, my husband, Randy, and I spent an amazing four nights at Haven Riviera Cancun, a new all-inclusive resort in Mexico. We took the trip to celebrate our one-year anniversary, which was in February. It was also our first kid-free trip since the birth of our youngest daughter, Rylan, who was born in November. I had several of you reach out about details on our stay, so I am excited to share a full review of Haven Riviera Cancun!

First off, we love visiting Riviera Maya because of the warm weather, amazing beaches, and the quick flight from Houston. We have been to this area before and always look forward to returning. As we have experienced with our prior visits to the area, most resorts with spacious properties surrounded by lush Mexican vegetation require you to travel a long distance from the airport. This was not the case with Haven.

For this trip, upon arriving at the Cancun airport, we were greeted by our driver from Amstar. Haven recommended Amstar, so I booked private airport transfers through them. Amstar is the transportation partner of the resort and they have a desk in the lobby of the resort where you can also book excursions once you arrive. Our experience with Amstar was great! They were on time, friendly, and professional and we understand why Haven has them as a partner.

My Experience With Custom Ink From Start To Finish

Fashion/ Gift Ideas

This post is sponsored by Custom Ink.

When I have a special event coming up, I like to memorialize it by creating something custom for the occasion. For instance, coozies for a wedding, cups for a party, or t-shirts for a group gathering. This process can be quite time consuming and overwhelming for some folks. The hardest part is to know what you want and where to start. Let me save you a lot of time and headache by taking all of the hassle out of the process, and introduce you to Custom Ink.

For those not familiar with Custom Ink, they make it fun and easy to design products for your business, school, or any other occasion. They carry a wide range of products for customization. In addition to t-shirts, they carry apparel and promotional products that include brands like Adidas and The North Face. They have physical stores where you can see product samples and meet with one of their friendly staff to assist you in creating your custom work in their Design Lab. If you don’t have time to make it to the store, you have access to an online Design Lab where you can upload your own templates, or start from scratch by using their huge library of fonts and over 70,000 pieces of art. Custom Ink’s team of expert artists ensure your order looks great; they review every order to make sure it prints exactly the way you want. Plus, with your order, they offer free standard ground shipping within the continental U.S. and Canada that guarantees arrival to your door in two weeks or less.

Can you believe it is almost summer?! I say this all the time, but man I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by. The school year will be over soon, and our family will be doing lots of traveling in the next few months. Until then, we are going to soak up the last few days of cooler temperatures here in Texas. The only way I want to be outside is if I am next to a pool. 🙂 Before Summer officially begins, I wanted to share these fresh Spring finds for the kids. Read more
