As some of you know I am pregnant with my second child. The newest addition to our family is due November 17, 2018! When my husband and I decided to start trying to conceive I immediately started taking a prenatal vitamin. Some moms to be may not know this, but you should start taking a prenatal 6 months before you start trying to get pregnant.

Since I am a Sam’s Club Member, I went to my my local club to purchase a 5 month supply of Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. soft gels. The bottle was less than $20, which is an awesome price! You can find this bottle in an aisle close to The Pharmacy.
I choose to take Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. softgels because they are a great value and require less trips to the store to purchase them. Additionally I take them over the competition for the following reasons:

  • Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. softgels is guaranteed to meet our high quality standards – it is made from carefully selected ingredients under strict manufacturing processes
    • Clinically proven absorption of folic acid and iron

With my first child I didn’t quite understand the importance of taking prenatal vitamins until after I was pregnant. Here are a few important factors I wanted to share about Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. softgels:

In addition to taking my daily prenatal vitamin, I like to prepare meals that are good for me and baby. One of these meals is a Green Smoothie. I typically make it in the morning, but sometimes I drink one for an afternoon snack. My three year old daughter, McKenna, also loves drinking them. It is also an easy way for me to add greens into her diet without any fuss.

To make the smoothie you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 red apple (core removed and sliced)
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1/2 banana (peeled)
  • 1/2 naval orange (peeled)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup ice
  • 3/4 cup low fat vanilla yogurt

To prepare, combine all ingredients in a blender, and mix until contents are blended completely. Then pour it into your favorite glass and enjoy! This will make two 16 ounce servings.
Since I love making smoothies, I am always open to trying new recipes. Do you have a smoothie I should try out? Please share in the comments section below! 🙂
