If you have been following my blog, then you know that we recently moved to Houston, TX from Dallas, TX. So, there were lots of road trips back and forth between those two cities. Road trips with toddlers can be really smooth if they decide to sleep most of the time or the complete opposite if they are not entertained. Lucky for me McKenna likes to sleep in the car so she slept most of the time for the 3 1/2-hour trip. If moving wasn’t a big enough life change, we found out that my boyfriend received a temporary assignment in Findlay, OH for two months. I have decided to make the move with him and we leave Ohio this Friday. Instead of flying, we are going to take a road trip to get there. The total trip is about 18 hours so I know McKenna will not be sleeping the whole way. This has inspired me to create a Toddler Road Trip Survival kit using Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes.

Interested in using Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes in your next creative adventure? Hover over the photo to click through to Samsclub.com and buy them!

Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes can be found at Sam’s Club in the Baby Care Aisle. I really enjoy being a member of Sam’s Club because you get more bang for you buck. I also like to be able to shop for everyday household items and baby care items in bulk. It is crazy how many diapers and wipes a baby can go through. Sam’s Club also has a subscription service and right now they offer free shipping on wipes.

Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes are compact which is great for on the go and include EZ Pull® Dispensing, so you only pull one wipe at a time. They are also safe for soft, sensitive skin and enriched with Vitamin E and aloe. They clean up 99% of germs. If you have a child, then you know how messy they can be. These are perfect for the memories and messes McKenna will make along the way. 🙂 They are also great for wiping up spills, cleaning your hands after getting gasoline, and even after eating snacks.

Here are the things you will need to create a Toddler Road Trip Survival Kit:

  • Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes
  • Snacks
  • Sippy Cup
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Entertainment (Books, Toys, Games)
  • Bandages and Ointment
  • Headache and Cold Medicine
  • Dog Waste Bags
  • Stuffed Animal
  • Blanket
  • Basket

Combine all of these items into a basket and put it in a secure place in the back seat for your trip. All the items are for McKenna except for the headache and cold medicine. The last thing I want is to be stuck in a car for 18 hours with an illness.

Have you taken a road trip with a toddler before? If so where did you go? I would love to hear of ways you were able to keep them entertained along the way.

Oh my goodness, while it may be hard at times to travel that far, you are more than prepared! I traveled from Rhode Island to Florida by car when my oldest was 7-weeks-old. That wasn’t too bad. But, if we do travel anywhere that’s 3 hours or more, I need to make the kids busy bags to entertain them while in the car. You’ve thought of everything for your kit. Good luck to you on your long drive! #client
