Upgrading To The UPPAbaby VISTA Stroller & MESA Car Seat

Baby Gadgets/ Little Me and Free

With baby number two on the way, it was finally time to step up my stroller game and get a double stroller. I dreaded looking for a double stroller because all I could think about was how big and bulky most of them are, and what a pain it would be to push one around. So with that in mind, I knew I wanted a tandem stroller that was not super heavy. Luckily the UPPAbaby VISTA stroller was exactly what I was looking for, not to mention it’s a major upgrade over my last stroller.

The UPPAbaby VISTA stroller is available in nine colors, mine is in the color called Henry which is a light blue. The stroller comes with two seat options which include, a bassinet, and a toddler seat. The VISTA Bassinet is suitable from birth up to 20 lbs or until an infant can push up on their hands and knees, whichever comes first. The Toddler Seat is suitable from 3 months to 50 lbs. There are multiple ways to configure the seats as you can see below. To recreate the exact configuration I have in the photos you will need to purchase a top and bottom adapter, and you can use the bassinet and toddler seat that comes with the VISTA. Another way to turn it into a double stroller is by purchasing an additional seat called the RumbleSeat as well as an adapter.

The UPPAbaby VISTA stroller may cost more than the average stroller, but it is worth every penny. It also comes with a UbXtend three-year warranty with online registration. The stroller is very easy to push on various types of terrain, and it also looks so chic with its full-grain leather accents.

In addition to the six strollers that UPPAbaby makes, an infant car seat called the MESA is also available. Since my previous car seat was outdated, and not compatible with the VISTA, I also own the MESA car seat in the color Henry that matches the stroller. The MESA in the color Henry or Jordan, is the first and only naturally fire resistant infant car seat on the market. It is suitable from 4 lbs to 35 lbs and up to 32” in height. No adapters are required to be able to attach it to the VISTA stroller.

The UPPAbaby MESA is the only infant car seat on the market that uses the SMARTSECURETM system. The base has self-retracting mini LATCH connectors and a red to green tightness indicator to allow for a quick, accurate, and easy installation in seconds. The straps are really easy to securely hook together to keep her safely tucked in for the car ride. I plan to use the bassinet for Rylan while she is an infant to stroll around our neighboorhood, and then when we take trips in the car, I will use the MESA car seat with the stroller. It was so nice bringing Rylan home in her MESA car seat and as you can see, McKenna was excited to have her little sister arrive home safely from the hospital.
