Wedding Wednesday – Bridal Details

Little Me and Free/ Wedding

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… I can’t believe I just celebrated my one year wedding anniversary! Man did the year fly by! After looking at all the photos from our wedding day, I got the motivation to start writing some more wedding related posts. Today I wanted to share my bridal details with you guys. Here are the items I selected and the stories that go with them. My grandmother, who I call Mimi gave me her wedding ring to use for my walk down the aisle. It was my something old. Since she and my grandfather have been married almost 60 years, I felt honored to wear it. I hope Randy and I can have a marriage as good as theirs, and as long.

For my something new, I used my wedding gown and hair clip from David’s Bridal. These were both brand new, and of course, I was so excited to wear them.

For my something borrowed, I also had two things. I borrowed my wedding veil from my friend Laura, who also happened to be one of my Matrons of Honor. Since I was the Maid of Honor at her wedding, it was special to wear her wedding veil for my big day. I also borrowed diamond earrings from Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry. These earrings were show stoppers and I felt like a million bucks wearing them.

Finally, for my something blue, I wore a light blue, lace garter belt with a crystal accent. I got it custom made to fit my leg from a shop through Etsy. I loved how feminine it was, and the touch of bling.

If you are married or when you do get married are you planning on using anything special for your bridal details? I would love to hear about the items and the stories that go with them.
