Wedding Wednesday – Bridal Prep

Wedding

It’s Wedding Wednesday and I am so excited to share with you Bridal Prep pictures from the “Big Day!” It’s not everyday that I get 13 of my closest girlfriends together to spend the day getting pampered and of course let’s not forget popping some bubbly!

Bridal Prep took place in my suite at the Renaissance Pere Marquette hotel. I loved how the massive windows throughout the suite let in tons of natural light. If you are looking for a good hotel to get ready in for you wedding then I would consider this hotel. In addition to the natural light, the walls are white which made the photos look light and airy which is exactly what I had envisioned when I spoke with my photographer, Luisa Manning of Luisa’s Secret.
With 13 girls plus family members that needed hair and makeup done (18 people total) we had to start getting ready very early, 8 am to be exact. For hair we used Kiss and Makeup Beauty Services. They are a teams of two sisters who have been in business since 2010. For make-up we used Ashley Sievert of Ashley Sievert Beauty and her team of makeup artists. Ashley is a very well known makeup artist in New Orleans, and even has her own makeup line.

We started our morning off right with popping some champagne and eating beignets. Special thanks to my sorority sister, Katie Andrews, of Katie Scarlet Designs, for customizing Champagne flutes for everyone. As part of a gift for my bridesmaids I gave them all matching robes, and a custom hanger, which Michelle,my sister-in-law, made. I ordered the hangers online, and she put everyone’s names on them which made for a nice keepsake. I loved how the pictures turned out and that we got to blow some confetti before it was time to put on our dresses. Thanks to the awesome group of stylists that kept us on a tight schedule. Can you believe that all 18 of us got ready on time?
